Evodiamine
Evodiamine is an active ingredient extracted from Frutus Evodiae. Some scientists have examined it anti-cancer activities and action mechanisms of evodiamine. Evodiamine shows anticancer activity trhough inhibition of tubulin polymerization. This anti-tubulin activity might make evodiamine a potential anticancer drug. In addition, evodiamine has effects on hypertension and promotes the excitation of the inner walls of blood vessels, and it is also used for relaxing blood vessels and reducing blood pressure. The physiological effects of evodiamine on aged animals may implicate its potential for the treatment of erectile dysfunction.
