Banaba extract contains corosolic acid, which has been indicated to have anitinflammatory and hypoglycemic effects. The effects seen in clinical settings indicate that corosolic acid from Banaba can have positive effects on diabetic and atherosclerotic risk factors. This extract has been found to have an effect on hypertension, abnormal lipid metabolism, and oxidative stress. The use of Banaba extract has the potential to b used in prevention of many of the diseases that affect our health (1).
